Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State on Wednesday, disclosed that more than 2,000 members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He said the defections took place in Maigatari Local Government Area, describing it as a major boost to the ruling party’s strength in the state.
Namadi made the announcement during a weekly citizens’ engagement programme in Maigatari, where he assured residents that the defection would further solidify APC’s dominance in the state.
