Otafun Amuro Development Association Pays Kogi Commissioner Courtesy Visit – Independent Newspaper Nigeria


LAGOS – The Otafun Amuro Development Association has paid a courtesy visit to the Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo.

The delegation which was led by the President of the Association, Pastor Obadiah Obadofin, and Elder Samuel Obafemi, visited yesterday to commiserate with Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo over the demise of his father, Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sani Ododo.

They also highlighted some of the challenges facing their community during a fruitful discussion with the Commissioner.

Hon. Fanwo, in his response, appreciated the delegation for their support to the Governor, noting that His Excellency, as a devout Muslim, has accepted the will of Almighty Allah.

He said the Governor remains in high spirits as glowing tributes continue to pour in about the life and deeds of the late Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo.

The Commissioner assured the association of his continued contribution to the development of the community and urged residents to remain peaceful and security conscious.

He also called on Community Development Associations to play greater roles in enhancing security and mobilising their people to register as voters, pointing out that the strength of citizens lies in their votes.

“I’m aware that the State Government is upgrading your Primary Healthcare Centre. Please monitor the progress and protect it against vandalism. Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo is determined to touch every community, but we must also be prepared to make the best of his good work,” he said.
