Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transforming the education sector.
He said the government’s recent investments in the sector are beginning to show positive results.
Speaking on Monday during the inauguration of the newly constituted Ondo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) Board at the Cocoa Conference Centre in Akure, Aiyedatiwa addressed key stakeholders in the education sector.

He described the event as “another milestone in our mission to strengthen the foundation of education in Ondo State.”
According to a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, the governor emphasised the significant progress recorded in the state’s education sector.
He stated, “Our investments in education are already yielding results through new teacher recruitment, improved school infrastructure, and strengthened monitoring systems.”
He urged the newly inaugurated TESCOM Board to uphold integrity, fairness, and innovation, noting that teachers remain central to shaping future leaders.
Aiyedatiwa further emphasised that continuous teacher training and capacity building are top priorities, adding that “a motivated teacher produces a confident student, and confident students build a confident society.”
Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti, praised the governor’s leadership and commitment, highlighting that Ondo teachers have received national recognition for excellence.
TESCOM Chairperson, Dr. Oluwadaisi Idowu Oke, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve and promised to justify the trust placed in her team.
Governor Aiyedatiwa also reiterated his administration’s support for students, revealing that five new buses had been approved for tertiary institution student unions as part of ongoing welfare initiatives.
