Edo State Commissioner for Land and Housing, Hon Yakubu Oshiorenua Musa says Governor Monday Okpebholo’s administration is deeply committed to restoring transparency, order, and fairness in land administration and housing development across the state.
Hon. Musa who made the declaration while addressing journalists soon after general inspection and inventory taking of his ministry on Monday said, he, as the commissioner in charge, is fully aligned with the visionary land and housing reform policy of Monday Okpebholo’s administration.
According to him, as the newly appointed Commissioner for Lands and Housing, I am honored to drive the people oriented policies that will put Edo on the map.
“This Ministry, being dear to the Governor’s heart, stands as a vital pillar in his developmental agenda.
“We are ready to actualize the governor’s vision and mission by ensuring that due process guides all land allocations, digitization of land records is accelerated, housing delivery is expanded, and every transaction is rooted in accountability and public interest.
In the area of housing, the commissioner said, “our policy thrust will be guided by the Governor’s SHINE Agenda, which emphasizes Social Welfare, Housing, Infrastructure, and Economic Growth in line with this vision.
“The Governor will pursue affordable and accessible housing projects that directly address the needs of Edo citizens through the Ministry and in collaboration with the Federal Government under the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
“The Ministry will also embark on urban renewal initiatives that enhance community development, improve living standards, and align with the Governor’s vision of a modern, inclusive, and people centered Edo State.
“Our focus remains on translating the Governor’s policies into tangible results that will improve the daily lives of our people”, Musa said.
Hon. Musa also emphasised that Okpebholo’s administration understands the strategic importance of land administration and housing to the lives of Edo people and everyone residing in Edo State.
“With the necessary cooperation from stakeholders, the era of inaccessibility, bottlenecks, and irregularities in land and housing will soon be a thing of the past.
“Under my leadership, the Ministry will make land and housing administration a catalyst for economic growth, urban renewal, and social harmony reflecting the transparency, efficiency, and people centered leadership of Senator Monday Okpebholo” the commissioner declared.
