A fatal accident on the Oru section of the Ijebu-Ode/Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State has claimed one life and left five others injured.
According to a traffic update obtained by PUNCH Metro from the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency on Tuesday, the accident occurred on Monday.
The update stated that at approximately 4 p.m., a Toyota Previa, traveling at high speed, lost control and overturned into the bush.

The statement read, “A fatal RTA occurred at the old Faari filling station inbound Oru Junction, along the Ijebu-Ode/Ibadan Highway at about 16:00 hrs on Monday.
“It involved a black Toyota Previa with number plate APP 963 GU. Five people were injured, and one person died.
“According to an eyewitness report, overspeeding and loss of control on the part of the driver led the vehicle to ram into the bush acrobatically.”
TRACE added that the deceased was taken to Ijebu-Ode General Hospital, while the injured were transported to Ola Oluwa Hospital, Ago Iwoye.
“Traffic was partially affected, but TRACE operatives and other sister agencies controlled the situation.
“The deceased was taken to the Ijebu–Ode State Hospital morgue, while the injured passengers were rescued at Ola Oluwa Hospital, Ago-Iwoye,” the statement concluded.
