

It has now been confirmed that Nigeria’s Super Eagles will tackle DR Congo in the crucial final of 2025 FIFA World Cup qualifying African playoffs on Sunday November 17, 2025 in Rabat, Morocco.
While Congo pipped Cameroon 1-0 in the second semi-final on Thursday, Nigeria thrashed Gabon 4-1 after extra time in the first last four encounter.
It was a match that witnessed goal poacher Victor Osimhen scoring a brace, with Akor Adams and Chidera Ejuke scoring one each earlier.
The winner of the final between Nigeria and Congo will have to confront other opponents from Asia and Oceanic continents.
