“It generally asserted that development and growth thrive where there is peace. We call on Mr. President not to allow Osun State to be turned into a theater of political war by both the ruling Party in the State, PDP and APC political thugs. We hereby sought for political solution to end this carnage and to prevent the replay of the ‘Operation-Wet-E’ that engulfed the then Western Region of the country, as a result of political rivalry.

“We hereby call on Osun State Commissioner of Police and State Director of Department of State Services (DSS) and all other Security agencies in the State to rise to the occasion by working harmoniously in restoring normalcy in Osun State and bring the perpetrators of this violence to book.
“The current situation in Osun State calls for the concerns of all and we must all contribute towards returning normalcy to the state. We appeal to the leaderships of PDP and APC at national level to also intervene in resolving this political crisis while we call on all supporters of the two political parties to shun violence and embrace dialogue.
“We equally wish to use this opportunity to commiserate with the family and the entire Yoruba race on the death of our referred leader Pa. Ayodele Adebanjo an elder statesman and chieftain of the pan-Yoruba socio-cultural organisation, Afenifere.
“As Yoruba nation and entire Nigerians mourn the loss of this symbol of democracy great patriot, the entire members of Oduduwa Development Initiative are eternally grateful to God for the selfless, humane and noble life Pa Adebanjo lived. We celebrate Pa. Adebanjo enduring and noteworthy legacies.
