Impeached Speaker Mudashiru Obasa caused a scene on Thursday when he stormed the Lagos State House of Assembly complex.
Per online reports, Obasa arrived at the premises at 11. 30 am, accompanied by civil defence operatives and armed policemen, allegedly to resume duty.
It was gathered that his sudden appearance caused confusion among the Lagos lawmakers, especially with the absence of Speaker Mojisola Meranda.
Two lawmakers, Ayinde Akinsanya (Osmak), representing Mushin Constituency I, and Noheem Adams, representing Mushin Constituency II, also followed Obasa to the complex.
It was reported that the doors to the Speaker’s office had been forced open by Obasa’s loyalists.
Additonally, individuals suspected to be Obasa’s followers had taken over the access roads to the complex as motorists were forced to use alternative routes as all entrances were blocked.
