The chairmen Forum of NYCN in the North-East Zone in a communiqué made available to journalists on Tuesday after its meeting in Yola, Adamawa state, stated that they have notified the relevant authorities of the federal and state governments, while also soliciting their support to ensure the successful conduct of the national elective congress.

They said the choice of Amb. Sukubo followed wide consultations with stakeholders in the six states of the zone and careful consideration of his exceptional leadership qualities, particularly his capacity, courage, sagacity, tenacity of purpose, vision, and unwavering commitment to youth development.

The youth leaders noted that Sukubo’s capacity to build and maintain strong relationships, unite the youth, and articulate their needs and concerns has earned him widespread recognition and admiration among Nigerian youths.

According to the North-East Youth leaders, “Sukubo’s exceptional communication skills, sensitivity, open-door policy, and flexibility have enabled him to effectively mobilize support for initiatives that are beneficial to the youth population”.

“His leadership style has fostered a sense of unity and purpose among Nigerian youths, and his re-election would undoubtedly consolidate the remarkable achievements made during his tenure”.

The North-East Youth Leaders emphasized that Sukubo’s re-election would not only ensure continuity but also bequeath an enduring legacy that would further shape the future of Nigerian youths for nation-building.

They appealed to the Ministry of Youth Development, the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Youth Initiative, Delivery, and Monitoring, as well as state governments in the North-East geo-political zone, to support the candidature of Amb. They also promised to galvanize massive support in the various states within the zone to ensure an overwhelming victory for Sukubo at the elective congress.

The North-East Youth Leaders also described the proposed National Youth Conference (Confab) by the Federal Government as a visionary initiative by President Bola Tinubu while requesting for one thousand participation slots for their zone.

They believe that increased representation from the North-East zone would enhance participation and inclusivity, bring diverse perspectives and ideas to the conference, and ultimately enrich the discussions and outcomes with far-reaching implications for national development.

The Chairmen Forum of NYCN in the North-East Zone also distanced the zone from the unlawful activities of some impostors, led by Mr. Solomon Adodo, who are impersonating the President and members of the National Executive of NYCN, misleading and defrauding innocent members of the public.

They urged security agencies to launch an investigation into the matter and bring the impersonators to justice.
