The family members of the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, accompanied by political associates, friends and well wishers have paid a thank you visit to Lamido Adamawa, Dr, Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha, over conferments of traditional tittle of Sardaunan Adamawa on the NSA by the Adamawa emirate council.
Speaking, leader of the delegation, Alh. Bashir Sulaiman Ribadu, said they were in the palace to thank the Emir and the emirate council for the honour done not only to their son the NSA but also to the entire Alkali Atiku Ribadu family.
He recalled that this is not the first time the Emirate council is honouring their family, noting that the bond of friendship between the two families dates back to the reign of Lamido Zubairu Aliyu Mustapha, when the Emirate council honoured one of their forefather Sarkin Turawa.
He said Lamido Aliyu Mustapha also bestowed the tittle of Dangaladiman Adamawa on Amb. Ahmadu Ribadu.
He also solicited for the blessings of the Lamido, and the supports of the people of Adamawa state to enable the NSA deliver his assignment especially in tackling the challenges of insurgency, banditry and other security threats bedeviĺing the country.
He said the tasks before the NSA are numerous and daunting which need the supports and prayers of all Nigerians.
Responding, the Lamido of Adamawa, Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha, who spoke through the secretary of the Emirate council, Umar Yahaya, thanked the family members and the delegation for the visit, stressing that this honour will further strengthen the bonds of friendship and mutual respect between the two families.
