The Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) has resumed rail service to the Warri-Itapke route following the earlier suspension of train movements on the route.
The NRC boss, Dr Kayode Opeifa, made this known on his verified X (formerly Twitter).
The statement read,” The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) wishes to inform the general public that the Warri–Itakpe Train Service (WITS) has officially resumed operations today, Wednesday, 29th October 2025, following a temporary suspension of service.
“The Corporation appreciates the patience and understanding of our esteemed passengers during the period of suspension and assures the public of our continued commitment to providing safe, reliable, and efficient train services across all routes.
“We encourage all passengers to plan their trips accordingly and enjoy the comfort and convenience of rail travel once again.”
