NPFL final day: Remo Stars, Enyimba grab continental tickets

Remo Stars and Enyimba will play on the continent next term after finishing in second and third positions, respectively, in the 2023–24 Nigeria Premier Football League season.

Remo Stars claimed the second position on the log after defeating Katsina United 2-1 in Ikenne.

Daniel Ogunmodede’s side secured a berth in the CAF Champions League following the win.

Sodiq Ismail and Dayo Ojo got the goals for the hosts, while Michael Ibe was on target for Katsina United.

Last season’s champions, Enyimba, stopped Plateau United 2-0 at home to finish third with 63 points.

Chijioke Mbaoma and Alade Balogun were on target for the Aba giants.

They will feature in the second-tier CAF Confederation Cup.
