The National Progressive Councilor’s Forum (NPCF) has commended the governor of Kebbi state, Malam Nasir Idris, for approving the sum of N2.85 billion to settle all outstanding entitlements of the former councillors in the state without considering their party or political affiliations.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Forum’s National Chairman, Hon. Muslihu Yusuf Ali, titled ‘Kauran Gondu is Heven’s Sent’.

The statement read, “The above named forum appreciates His Excellency Governor of Kebbi State Dr Nasir Idris (KAURAN GWANDU) for been so impartial to approved 2.85bn to clear up all outstanding entitlements of All former Councilors and their subordinate who served between 2004 to 2024 tenures.

“Being a leader with super human attitude of God fearing and compassion is a devine and exceptional. Kauran Gwandu is a hero among his counterparts who have wiped the tears of 20 years of crying. May Allah reward him.

“We would also like to rejoice with people of Kebbi State for Kaura’s socio-economic, human developmental projects laid in Kebbi state that never seeing in any state which are going in line with President Bola Ahmad Tinubu’s Renewed hope Agenda on reviving local Governments’ welfare and development of common Nigerians.

“This statement was made during a special visit by National Chairman of National Progressives Councilor’s forum (NPCF) to the leadership of councilors of kebbi state on September 2, 2025, hosted by Hon.
