The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum has reaffirmed its full commitment to the resolutions of the 101st National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of July 2025 regarding the November 15 National Convention.
The forum through its chairman and governor of Bauchi state Bala Muhammad who at the end of their meeting in Gusau Saturday, urged members to “resist all attempts to derail the convention by anti-party forces.”
The forum urged Nigerians to see PDP as the only democratic institution and viable alternative for restoring Nigeria along the path of good governance and national development.
The forum then called on the federal government to be more responsive to the lives and property of the citizenry.
On the recently held bye-election, the forum condemned what it described as over-militarisation characterised by wide spread irregularities, vote buying and violence in part of the country.
They called on Nigerians to be more circumspect in protecting their votes.
The forum commiserated with the government and people of Zamfara state on the passing of the Emir of Gusau, just as it mourned with both Oyo and host states over the recent loss of traditional rulers.
