Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State, on Wednesday declared that Northern Nigeria is hospitable.
Zulum said Northern Nigeria has endless potentials in agriculture and mineral resources.
He spoke at the Bauchi State economic and investment summit.
Zulum said: “A lot has been said about the North, but I want to assure you that the people of the Northern Nigeria in general and in particular that of Bauchi are hospitable.
“The potentials are there not only in agriculture but also in the areas of mineral resources. The last but not the least is the discovery of hydrocarbons in Bauchi State.
“I believe the investors will have opportunities to play around on how we shall turn the portions of not only Nigeria but Africa in general.”
He also noted that the Bauchi State government has enabled a safe environment for investors.
“Under the ease of doing business, the Commissioner has said it all, that the state government has laid a solid foundation that will enable business,” he said.
The governor emphasized the agricultural potentials of Bauchi State, stressing that “It has about 4.5 million hectares of arable land. Bauchi State has about 47,000 km of land. Agriculture is the bedrock of any many cultures. I want to come to Borchi and invest in agriculture.”
