The National Orientation Agency (NOA), Oyo State Directorate, has joined millions of Nigerians in commemorating the nation’s 65th Independence Anniversary, calling on citizens to reflect on the country’s achievements and recommit themselves to values that foster peace, unity, and national development.
The State Director of NOA Oyo, Mrs. Ajolayo Sinmat Akande, congratulated Nigerians on this historic milestone, describing 65 years of independence as a testimony to the resilience, creativity, and enduring spirit of the Nigerian people.
“As we celebrate Nigeria at 65, it is important that we remember the sacrifices of our founding fathers and the responsibility we all share in building a united, prosperous, and peaceful nation. Every citizen has a role to play in promoting patriotism, protecting our national symbols, and supporting initiatives that strengthen our democracy and development,” Mrs. Akande stated.
She further noted that the Oyo State Directorate remains steadfast in its mandate of sensitizing the public on national values, civic responsibilities, voter education, peacebuilding, security awareness, and the promotion of government programs and policies.
The Agency urged residents of Oyo State to see the anniversary as an opportunity to deepen their commitment to national service, lawfulness, and peaceful coexistence, stressing that Nigeria’s progress depends on the collective efforts of its citizens.
The NOA Oyo State Directorate wishes all Nigerians a Happy 65th Independence Anniversary.
Long Live Oyo State! Long Live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!
