No Discord Between Gov Abdulrazaq, Senator Ashiru, Affirms Stakeholders

3 days ago 23

Kwara South Senatorial stakeholders have asserted unequivocally that the rapport between Governor Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq and Senator Lola Ashiru of the Kwara South Senatorial zone is currently at its peak.

They also pledge unwavering support and allegiance to the governor.

The stakeholders condemn any endeavors by certain politicians, whom they label as opportunists, intent on sowing discord between the Governor and Senator Ashiru, the Deputy Senate Leader and Representative of the Kwara South Senatorial District.

Following an interactive session of the stakeholders, orchestrated by Senator Oyelola Yisa Ashiru, Omu-Iyadun Hammed D (MRM) expressed that Senator Ashiru has no justification whatsoever to be in conflict with Governor AbdulRasaq, contrary to the fabricated narratives propagated by political opportunists seeking undeserved political favor through the false claim of disloyalty.

“Our Governor, who also serves as the Chairman of Nigeria Governors’ Forum, has consistently shown camaraderie and guidance to Senator Ashiru on numerous occasions.

“For instance, the appointment of Hon. Femi Agbaje Whyte as Commissioner by Senator Ashiru during his initial term, the nomination of Hon. Segun Ogunshola (Son of Late Dr. Femi Ogunsola from Ifelodun), and the facilitation of a House of Assembly candidacy for Hon. Seun Oguniyi Adato representing Ojomu/Balogun constituency, as requested by Senator Ashiru and granted by Governor Abdulrazaq.

“Could all these aforementioned gestures transpire between adversaries,”he pondered.

“We, as the people of Kwara South, harbor no hostility towards Kwara North, nor towards Kwara Central as the powerhouse of the state; simultaneously, we cannot afford to be at odds amongst ourselves.”

“We deeply appreciate the congenial Kwara State APC Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, for his insightful remarks challenging the state of psychological enslavement and sycophantic tendencies of certain desperate politicians posing a significant threat to our societal values as the people of Kwara South.”

Among the attendees at the Kwara South Stakeholders Interactive Meeting were Kwara South Senatorial Chairman, Hon. Olayemi Olabanji, APC State Youth Leader, Hon. Duduyemi, Prince Shuaib, Dr. Oyedepo, General Abidoye, Professor Wale Suleiman, Captain Popoola, Dr. Fatai Bello, Hon. Segun Adebayo, Otunba Ganiyu Zubair (Gamzy), Prof. Majeed Ijaiya, Hon. Yinka Dallas, and Baba Oyin Zubair.

Others included Rev. Bunmi Olusona, Aare Oluwanishola Adeoti, Chief Sunday Olasunde, Rt. Hon. Raphael Adetiba, Otunba Taiwo Joseph, and many more.
