The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) and Nigerian Agip Exploration (NAE) have awarded ₦1.5 billion in fully funded scholarships to 30 young Nigerians for Master’s degree programs in Nigeria and abroad, reinforcing their commitment to education and talent development.
At a ceremony in Abuja, Oluwaseyi Omotowa, NNPC Ltd.’s Chief Upstream Investment Officer (represented by NUIMS Deputy Manager, External Relations), and Fabrizio Bolondi, NAE’s Managing Director, encouraged the recipients to leverage the opportunity to drive Nigeria’s economic progress.
The scholarships include 10 overseas awards valued at $50,000 each and 20 local awards worth ₦5 million each, covering fields such as Geosciences, Engineering, and Petroleum Economics.
Launched in 2004, the NNPC/NAE Postgraduate Scholarship Award has empowered over 350 Nigerian graduates, fostering the next generation of leaders in the energy sector and beyond.
