Nnamdi Kanu’s Legal Team Secures Alternative Medical Option In Abuja

The legal team of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has revealed that a private hospital in Abuja is ready to admit and provide medical treatment for the Biafra agitator.

Kanu’s Special Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, made the disclosure while responding to controversies surrounding the agitator’s access to proper medical attention.

The Nigerian government had urged the court to reject the application to transfer Kanu to the National Hospital for treatment.

“But if the government appears to have issues with taking him to the national hospital, we have given them an option of a private hospital also here in Abuja.”

When asked about the status of the application to transfer Kanu to the National Hospital, Ejimakor clarified, “No, it’s pending. It hasn’t been rejected, It’s pending.

“Depending on the admission of his report from the Nigerian Medical Association, the opinion of the Nigerian Medical Association.”

“You know, if you were in court, the judge had ordered that the committee or panel to be considered by the Nigerian Medical Association shall have a member from the national hospital. So national hospital is still in play.”
