Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer Ejimakor collapses in Kuje prison

The Special Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous
People of Biafra, IPOB, Aloy Ejimakor, collapsed in Kuje Prison.

Following the incident, Ejimakor was rushed to Kuje Medical
Centre where he is receiving treatment.

This was disclosed on Saturday by one of Kanu’s lawyers,
Maxwell Opara.

Asked to confirm Ejimakor’s collapse, Opara said: “Yes, I
went to see him and he was admitted at Kuje medical centre where they are
treating him, and I left about a few hours ago.

“The thing happened before I came, and we arrived there
around 12, and I started hearing the news.

“As one of his lawyers and colleagues, I insisted on seeing
him, and they took me to see him. I saw Sowore and others before they took me to
go and see him.”

This comes 24 hours after the presiding judge of Kuje
Magistrate Court, Abubakar Umar Sai’id, refused to sign the bail bond for his
release.

The Special Counsel was arrested on Monday with 12 others, including Kanu’s younger brother, Prince Emmanuel Kanu, during the free Nnamdi
Kanu protest in Abuja.

Following their arrest by the Nigeria Police Force, Ejimakor
and others were arraigned before the Magistrate Court in Kuje.
