NLO Playoff: Five teams secure NNL promotion

Five teams have secured promotion from the Nationwide League One, NLO, to the Nigeria National League, NNL, DAILY POST reports.

The teams are Basira FC, Barau FC and Magic Stars, Igbajo United and Emalex FC.

Basira FC defeated Family Worship FC 4-3 on penalties in the NLO playoff match at the New Jos Stadium.

At the Abuja center, Barau FC beat Yoca Crocodile 3-2 on penalties. The game ended 1-1 in regulation time.

Magic Stars FC defeated Ojodu City FC 5-3 on penalties in a keenly contested encounter at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Lagos.

Igbajo United and Emalex FC also picked NNL tickets after beating FC Ebedei and Cynosure FC 5-4 and 4-2 on penalties, respectively.

Both matches took place at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.

The remaining matches will be decided on Monday (today) across different centres.
