Director-General of the National Institute for Sports, H. E. Comrade Philip Shaibu honestly believes that ,the partnership between BetPawa and the Nigeria National League (NNL) will uplift and motivate players.

The immediate past Deputy Governor of Edo State drawing from his experience playing in the NNL, noted that interacting with players gave him valuable insights into their mindset, behavior, and motivations. 

He therefore thinks this partnership will have a positive impact, echoing the sentiments of the NFF president and others 

The NIS Boss emphasizes the importance of funding and welfare for athletes, including healthcare and financial support

He further commended BetPawa’s partnership with the Nigeria National League, believing it will boost the economy and improve players’ lives. 

Shaibu notes that NIS is working on “housekeeping” and improving its systems to attract more partners and develop quality coaches and athletes. 

He also expresses happiness about the inclusion of female teams in the initiative, recognizing their current success and contributions to Nigerian sports.
