Nigerians must appreciate Tinubu for bold economic reforms – Gov Aiyedatiwa

Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has called on Nigerians to commend President Bola Tinubu for his bold economic reforms, social re-engineering, and extensive infrastructural projects, describing him as a visionary leader poised to elevate Nigeria through his Renewed Hope initiatives.

Speaking in Akure on Wednesday during Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary celebration, Aiyedatiwa highlighted the state’s contributions to national progress and reaffirmed his administration’s focus on service and tangible results.

He noted significant advancements in education, health, and infrastructure under his leadership.

“This anniversary is not merely a historical marker; it’s a moment to reflect on our collective journey,” Aiyedatiwa said.

“It honors the sacrifices of our founding fathers who fought for our freedom and self-governance. Independence granted us dignity, the right to dream as Nigerians, and the chance to shape our destiny.”

Reflecting on Nigeria’s 65 years since October 1, 1960, the governor acknowledged the nation’s challenges and triumphs, emphasizing its unity in diversity and status as Africa’s largest democracy.

“We’ve overcome civil strife and military rule, expanding opportunities and drawing strength from our culture, creativity, and resilience,” he added.

Aiyedatiwa reiterated his commitment to securing lives and property in Ondo State, promising further progress in the near future. “Freedom comes with responsibility,” he reminded citizens.

The Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti, praised the governor’s steadfast dedication to Ondo’s development, underscoring the administration’s achievements.
