TSG Hoffenheim forward and Nigeria international Gift Orban is set to join Serie A side Verona on loan, according to Florian Plettenberg.
The 23-year-old, who arrived in Germany from Olympique Lyon in January 2025 for €9m, will move after just half a season in the Bundesliga.
The loan deal reportedly includes a €1m fee and a €9m purchase option.
Orban registered four goals in 12 league appearances last spring but failed to score beyond the 23rd matchday.
His chances of regular football dropped following Hoffenheim’s summer reshuffle and the return of striker Fisnik Asllani.
Despite being tied to Hoffenheim until 2029, the Super Eagles striker has been deemed surplus to requirements and now looks set to continue his career in Italy with Verona.
