The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has celebrated the extraordinary achievement of Assistant Comptroller of Customs, Akpevwe Ogboru, widely known as Tracta 2, who successfully completed a solo 35-day motorcycle expedition from Nigeria to Belgium.
Ogboru, who embarked on the challenge on August 1, 2025, journeyed through ten countries across two continents, covering roughly 10,265 kilometres before arriving at the Nigerian Embassy in Brussels at 12:47 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2025.

According to a statement issued by the NCS National Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Maiwada, the ride—tagged “Ride for Women Inclusivity and Cross-Border Research”—was designed to champion gender equality, promote the empowerment of the girl child, and foster cultural exchange.

“Her extraordinary journey marks a bold demonstration of courage, resilience, and purposeful advocacy,” the statement read.
The Service hailed the accomplishment as a symbol of perseverance and a milestone for Nigerian women pushing boundaries in diverse fields. Her arrival in Brussels was met with excitement and pride, underscoring the impact of her advocacy.
The Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, also praised her trailblazing effort, saying: “Assistant Comptroller Ogboru’s accomplishment stands as a beacon of inspiration to Customs officers, Nigerians, and the global community. With determination and vision, boundaries can indeed be transcended.”
Beyond its symbolic value, Ogboru’s adventure also contributed to research, strengthened international ties, and projected Nigeria positively to the world.
As she makes her way back to Nigeria, the NCS reiterated its commitment to backing initiatives that “promote resilience, innovation, and inclusivity,” while urging more Nigerians to embrace bold ventures that uplift the nation.
