The Nigeria Police Command in Lagos State has sealed a church over the alleged killing of a graduate of Lagos State University, LASU, Adedamola Ogunbode.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the command spokesperson, confirmed the development on Monday while speaking to journalists at the command headquarters in Ikeja.
Hundeyin stated that the church, where some persons alleged that the missing Ogunbode, 28, was killed and buried, had been sealed to prevent it from being set on fire.
He said, “The church was sealed following intelligence reports that some people planned to burn it down out of vengeance, and we don’t want that to happen.
“It is still a suspected crime scene. We still need to go over it, and we may need to revisit the scene multiple times to gather evidence.”
Hundeyin also stated that a public update would be provided as the investigation progresses.
According to him, three suspects have been arrested and detained so far as investigations continue.
