Ngumoha saves Liverpool with dramatic stoppage-time winner against Newcastle

Teenage sensation Rio Ngumoha scored a 100th-minute winner as Liverpool snatched a dramatic 3-2 victory over Newcastle United in a pulsating Premier League clash on Monday night.

The Reds looked comfortable after Ryan Gravenberch’s stunning long-range goal and Anthony Gordon’s red card for a reckless challenge on Virgil van Dijk shifted the game their way.

Within 20 seconds of the restart, the clash was pushed further from the hosts reach, with Hugo Ekitike netting Liverpool’s second.

However, Bruno Guimaraes’ strike in the 57th minutes brought back hopes for the Magpies.

Substitute William Osula then appeared to have leveled the game for Eddie Howe’s men, only for Liverpool’s 16-year-old Rio Ngumoha to score a stoppage-time winner in 100th minute, sealing a tough win for Arne Slot’s side.

Meanwhile, Liverpool struggled defensively, allowing Newcastle a comeback, despite playing with 10 men.

Liverpool’s next fixture will be another tough encounter against Arsenal at Anfield.
