New Zealand woman, Gabrielle Wall, showed the strength of her soles when she ran barefoot over 100 meters of loose Lego bricks in 24.75 seconds.
Wall broke the Guinness World Record for the fastest 100 meters barefoot on Lego bricks when she attempted the 328-foot sprint in Christchurch.
The track was covered in 661 pounds of Lego bricks donated by Imagination Station, a New Zealand nonprofit that uses Lego pieces for robotics and mechanics education.
Wall said she spent two entire months barefoot to build calluses in preparation for her attempt, even attending a wedding without any shoes.
“I am proud to have pushed myself to new limits. The record-keeping organization said the mother-of-two has “probably stepped on the plastic bricks more times than she can count,” she said.
According to Guinness World Records: “In our video, Gabrielle is wearing sunglasses, presumably to hide her tears from the pain of standing on all that Lego.”
Wall concluded that she will be considering attempting more Lego-based Guinness World Records, but for building rather than running.
