NEGGI Lauds President Tinubu For Appointing Yuguda As Northeast Coordinator Of Renewed Hope Initiative Committee

The North East Good Governance Initiative (NEGGI) has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the appointment of Mallam Isa Yuguda as the North East Zonal Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Initiative Committee.

This was contained in a press statement by Sani Ahmed, the Coordinator; North East Good Governance Initiative (NEGGI) and made available to journalists in Bauchi.

According to statement, the strategic appointment speaks of the President’s unwavering commitment to inclusive governance, regional development and practical realization of the Renewed Hope Agenda across every geopolitical zone of Nigeria especially the North East, a region in urgent need of consolidated recovery and accelerated socio-economic transformation.

“It said that the North East has endured years of insurgency, economic setbacks, infrastructural decline, and deep social dislocations, stressing that what the region needs at this critical time is a steady, experienced, and visionary leader—one capable of mobilizing stakeholders, rebuilding public trust, and igniting sustainable development”.

“Mallam Isa Yuguda embodies all these qualities and more.
His illustrious career in public service, spanning his roles as former Managing Director of the Bank of Inland Bank and Marchant Bank, Honourable Minister of Aviation, and two-term Governor of Bauchi State established him as a leader with unmatched competence in fiscal management, infrastructural renewal, administrative brilliance, and community cohesion”.

“During his governorship in Bauchi State (2007–2015), Mallam Isa Yuguda delivered landmark reforms and projects that still defines the state’s development trajectory. These include the establishment and expansion of institutions such as Bauchi State University,
Strengthening of healthcare through facilities like the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital;
Modernization of transport infrastructure, including the Bauchi Airport, Massive investments in education, roads, agriculture, and economic empowerment”.

“His administration became a model for transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance—earning him wide respect across Nigeria”.

“As the new Zonal Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Initiative Committee, we believed that Mallam Isa Yuguda will bring unmatched experience, stability and strategic insight to the critical task of rebuilding and reenergizing the North East. His leadership will strengthen ongoing federal interventions, deepen grassroots engagement, and catalyze economic and social renewal across the region”.
