Nedu Made Me Say Poor Girls Turn Me On

1 day ago 35

The first-ever Mr. Nigeria Supranational, Ugo Nwokolo has cleared the air over the statements he made on ‘The Honest Bunch’ podcast. In January, Nwokolo was a guest on the talk show where he hinted that he is attracted to broke girls.

He said during the show; “Poor girls turn me on. The poorer the girl, the more attracted I am to her. It’s only a poor woman who would wake up by 7 a.m. to pray for you. Marry a poor girl because, when it comes to fertility, poor women can be so fertile,” he stated.

However, following the backlash he received, and in light of the recent controversy surrounding the founder of the show, Nedu Wazobia, the model has come out to clear the air, revealing the circumstances that caused him to make the statement.

“It’s against my character to say such a thing because poor girls don’t turn me on. Nedu told me that he owns ‘The Honest Bunch’ podcast. He said I’ll have to pay a certain amount, N5 million and that if I really want to present the topic, he gave me the option of saying what he tells me to say.

“He said I have to mention his celebrity’s name to make a thing go viral. He particularly mentioned Very Dark Man. So since the owner is telling me this, I went on the podcast and said the thing he asked me to say. I was so depressed, so I decided to end my life. In my lifetime, I’ve met manipulators. I’ve met narcissists. I’ve met gaslighters. I’ve met scammers. But Nedu is a discovery,” Nwokolo said.

Explaining further, he said that Nedu rejected his initial topic, ‘Eradicating Classism and Fostering an Egalitarian Society’ because Nigerians are dumb and they don’t like people who sound intelligent.

“But I will still say this. I take responsibility. I’m not trying to blame anybody. I’m just trying to tell Nigerians what actually happened and what prompted me to make that statement. It’s against my character to say such a thing, because poor girls don’t turn me on. I deserve all the insults I’ve gotten so far because I said it. But I just need Nigerians to know what actually transpired,” Nwokolo added.
