Senator Ned Nwoko (Delta North) has publicly denied his wife Regina Daniels’ claim that they married when she was 17, releasing her official INEC voter’s card showing her date of birth as October 10, 1998.
The document, shared on the senator’s verified social media accounts, confirms Daniels was 21 years old when they first met in 2019, making her 20 at the time of their traditional marriage.
The release follows Daniels’ recent public allegations of emotional abuse, manipulation, and an underage union during their six-year marriage.
Nwoko stated that the voter’s card was issued in 2018, a year before their relationship began, and urged the public to verify the facts independently.
Social media reactions remain sharply divided: supporters commend the senator for presenting documentary evidence, while critics condemn the public disclosure of personal identification details as a breach of privacy.
Neither party has commented further, but the development has intensified online debates about consent, age, and accountability in high-profile relationships.
