In a daring pre-dawn attack, armed bandits abducted Seaman Olatunji Enoch, a 40-year-old Nigerian Navy officer, along with his wife, Margaret Olatunji, and their daughter, Hellen Bitrus, from their home in Unguwan Mission, Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The incident, which occurred around 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, has sparked a swift response from security forces.

Cordon-and-search operations are underway in the surrounding bushes and nearby areas, with authorities emphasizing their commitment to rescuing the officer and his family unharmed.
“We are working tirelessly to ensure the victims are brought back safely,” a security source confirmed.
The abduction has sent shockwaves through the Kachia community, with residents calling for intensified efforts to curb banditry in Kaduna State.
The Nigerian Navy has yet to issue an official statement, but sources indicate that all available resources are being deployed to address the situation.
As the search continues, the incident underscores the persistent challenge of armed banditry in Nigeria’s northwest, prompting renewed calls for comprehensive security measures to protect vulnerable communities.
