Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan Hails Kogi Constituents After Six-Month Suspension


Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has praised the people of Kogi Central for their steadfast support during what she described as a period of “unscrupulous intimidation.”

The lawmaker issued the statement on Tuesday, after attending her first plenary session in six months following her suspension.

“My attendance at plenary is a testament of resilience by the good people of Kogi Central and Nigerians, especially their courage to resist every unscrupulous intimidation,” Akpoti-Uduaghan said.

She added, “While averting Hon Rifkatu Danna’s dilemma, our victory is the people’s and God.

“I recommit myself to continued service to my constituents and country while trusting the courts to be fair and swift in adjudicating the matters before them.”

Akpoti-Uduaghan further stated, “I want to thank my constituents for standing firm and believing in justice.

“Your prayers, encouragement, and unwavering support have given me the strength to overcome these challenges.”

She emphasised, “This experience has reinforced my commitment to transparency, accountability, and fighting for the rights of the people I represent.

“I will continue to advocate for policies that uplift Kogi Central and Nigeria at large.”

The senator also remarked, “Let this be a reminder that no intimidation, threat, or obstacle can deter us from fulfilling our duties.

“Together, we can ensure that governance remains fair, equitable, and responsive to the needs of citizens.”
