Nasarawa state Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has lost one of its members, Abari Isa to the cold hands of death.

Isa, a broadcast journalist with the Nasarawa Broadcasting Service (NBS), died Sunday after a brief illness at the Federal University Lafia Teaching Hospital.

A statement issued by the council’s secretary, Comr. Sunday John, expressed deep shock over the passing of the professional journalist, describing him as an active member of the NUJ in the state.

“The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Nasarawa State Council extends its deepest condolences to the family, management, and staff of Nasarawa Broadcasting Service (NBS) on the passing of Abari Isa, assignment editor of the station and an active member of NUJ in the state.

“We share your grief and sorrow during this difficult time and pray that the Almighty grant his soul eternal rest. May the family find the strength to bear this irreparable loss,” the statement said.

He said Isa was a very trustworthy and dependable media professional who carried out his duty with diligence and focus. He prayed to God to bless him with eternal rest.

Until his demise, Abari was the assignment editor of the state media outlet and served as health correspondent.
