‎Nasarawa: APC intact, progressing under Sule – Chairman

‎The Nasarawa state Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Aliyu Bello, has reaffirmed that the party remains united and steadily progressing under the leadership of Governor Abdullahi Sule.

‎Dr. Bello made the assertion on Monday at the APC secretariat in Lafia during the formal reception of Senator Aliyu Wadada, who recently defected from the Social Democratic Party (SDP) to rejoin the APC.

‎The chairman dismissed insinuations in some quarters that the party is in disarray, urging members to shun unnecessary complaints and distractions.

‎“Regardless of what people are saying — that the party is in shambles or has lost direction — the truth remains that the APC in Nasarawa State is intact and making steady progress,” he said.

‎“Some of those making such claims still aspire to contest elections under the same party. Senator Wadada once left the APC in search of greener pastures, but today he has returned home.”

‎Dr. Bello emphasised that, as state chairman, he remains responsible for authenticating party membership, stressing that all new or returning members must properly register at the state secretariat.

‎“To be a genuine member of the APC, you must come to the office and register. We are in charge of the membership records. Senator Wadada’s name has always been in our register; we only reissued him a new membership card. So, Wadada, you are welcome back home,” he stated.

‎The chairman added that similar recognition would be accorded to all patriotic and loyal party members who show commitment to the ideals of the APC.

‎In his remarks, Senator Aliyu Wadada described his return as a “homecoming,” noting that he remains one of the founding members of the APC in Nasarawa State.

‎ “Even while I was in the SDP, I continued to contribute to the growth and success of the APC in the state,” he said.

“We didn’t abandon the party; we only stepped aside for a while — and now, we are fully back.”

‎He further asserted that his contributions to the formation and development of the APC predate the party’s official establishment.

‎“For those who care to know, Wadada Dan Danyaya has been part of APC’s development right from inception. Nobody has contributed more than we have, regardless of where they come from. No one has the moral right to question my loyalty to the APC,” the senator declared.
