NAOWA School marks 7th anniversary

The Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA), Gingiya Barracks, 8 Div in Sokoto has celebrated its nursery and primary school 7th anniversary with a colourful display of inter- house sports activities in Sokoto.

The chairperson of the association, Mrs. Magdalene Indidi Ajose, said the purpose of organising the inter – house sports among the children is to celebrate teamwork, leadership, fitness and sportsmanship among the children.

Mrs Ajose said this year’s inter- house sports is the maiden edition of the event, adding that it is a tradition that they would like to uphold.

The chairperson said the success of NAOWA is as a result of the commitment of her predecessors, describing it as ” seven years of development , cohesion and academic distinction.

In his remarks, the chief guest, Major General Ibikunle Ajose, commended NAOWA for the success recorded so far in the school which he describes as a citadel of learning.

Ajose who is the General Officer Commander, 8 Division, was ably represented by the Commander 48 Engineers Brigade, Brigadier General Abubakar Abdullahi Danladi, assures that the Division will continue to support the school in order to maintain its status.
