LAGOS – The National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies (NANTA) has thrown its weight behind the appointment of Capt. Chris Najomo, as the substantive Director-General Civil Aviation (DGCA).
A congratulatory letter to Najomo, dated February 19, 2025, signed by Mr. Yinka Folami, President, NANTA and obtained by the media, said that the dedication, commitment and resilience of Najomo, had impacted positively on the transformation of the Nigerian aviation business in recent times.
Folami highlighted some of the significant and transformative milestones introduced by Najomo since his appointment in acting capacity in December 2023 to include the digital of portal for consumer protection and engagement, the increased level of courtesy and responsiveness to the aviation downstream professionals, fair practice, capacity building and the protection of consumers.
NANTA insisted that it trusted the leadership capacity of Najomo and urged him to continue in giving his best to the industry.
The letter read in part: “We remain a strong ally to your vision in NCAA for a more prosperous aviation sector in Nigeria, and we trust your leadership for more progressive impact across all stakeholders.”
NANTA President further urged the Director-General to continue in the efforts to ensure and guide the travel trade business in Nigeria towards meeting global best practices and competitiveness.
