Controversial Nigerian singer Naira Marley has defended Ayra Starr after she faced heavy backlash for dancing to his latest song, “I’m Back.”
The Sabi Girl crooner caused a stir on social media on Thursday after a video of her singing and vibing to Naira Marley’s track appeared online.
She was criticised for endorsing the controversial singer, who has faced widespread calls for cancellation due to his alleged involvement in the death of his former signee, Mohbad.

In response to the backlash, Naira Marley took to the X platform on Thursday to call out his critics, urging them to stop targeting Ayra Starr.
He further shared the viral video of her dancing and responded to his critics in a series of posts.
“Cry in peace and stop disturbing us with noise ,” he wrote.
In a separate post, he humorously added, “Leave her alone and cancel me again.”
His response has triggered additional reactions online, with some fans suggesting that she should have kept her distance from him.
