The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has fixed the fares for the 2026 Hajj, with intending pilgrims expected to pay about N200,000 less than they paid last year.
NAHCON Chairman Abdullahi Usman, a professor, said the federal government approved the fares after consultations with stakeholders, including the Forum of States leadership.
According to a statement shared with journalists by Principal Information Officer of the commission, Sani Shafii, on Friday, pilgrims from Maiduguri–Yola Zone, comprising Yobe, Borno, Adamawa, and Taraba States, will pay N8.1 million, about N200,000 less than the N8.3 million pilgrims paid last year.
Other northern states will pay N8.2 million, N212,000 less than the N8.4 million pilgrims paid last year.
The southern states’ Hajj fare has been pegged at N8.6 million, N223,000 less than the N8.6 million pilgrims paid last year.
Mr Usman urged intending pilgrims to ensure full fare payment before the deadline of 31 December 2025.

After due consultations with all the relevant stakeholders, including the Forum of States leadership and obtaining the approval of the Federal Government, The Chairman/CEO National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, Professor Abdullahi Sale Usman hereby announces the 2026 Hajj Fare as follow:
Maiduguri Yola Zone (Yobe, Borno, Adamawa and Taraba) will pay; N8,118,333.67.

Other Northern States will pay; N8,244,813.67
Southern States will pay; N8,561,013.6
Compared to what was charged last year, this year, each pilgrim is to pay average of two hundred thousand naira less.
Meanwhile, the NAHCON delegation who are currently in Saudi Arabia met and signed agreement with the 2026 Hajj Service Provider Company (Mashareeq Al-Zahabiyya) and the Transportation Company (Daleel Al-Ma’aleem).
The Chairman/CEO, Professor Abdullahi urged all intending pilgrims to complete their payment before 31st December, 2025.
