NAF Decimates Terrorist Strongholds In Borno, Over 30 Killed

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has neutralized more than 30 terrorists in a joint operation with ground troops in Borno State.

The operation targeted insurgents at Dar-El-Jamal village in Bama Local Government Area following reports of heavy clashes between terrorists and security forces.

Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information for the NAF, said the operation took place on Friday.

Ejodame added that reinforcement troops later secured the area, ensuring no further threat remained.

“This success underscores the effectiveness of our joint operations and the importance of coordinated air-ground synergy,” he said.

“The safety of civilians remains our top priority,” Ejodame emphasized.

“We will continue to pursue terrorists relentlessly to restore peace in vulnerable communities.”

Borno and other parts of the North East remain hotspots for Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province attacks, which have caused tens of thousands of deaths and displaced millions.

Since 2021, the military has intensified coordinated operations under Operation Hadin Kai, reclaiming towns and disrupting insurgent activities, with recent successes reported in Bama, Konduga, and Marte.

Ejodame further stated, “While we celebrate this victory, we remain vigilant as sporadic attacks continue.

“Our mission is far from over, and every measure will be taken to protect lives and property in the region.”
