My music career began in children’s choir – Ayra Starr

Nigerian songstress Ayra Starr has disclosed that being a child chorister led to her eventual foray into the music industry.

Going down memory lane in a recent interview with Amazing Jazzy, Ayra Starr revealed that she started singing when she was 10.

The artist shared that she was a lead singer in the children’s choir in her church.

The ‘Rush’ crooner added that her experience in the children’s choir helped in honing her singing abilities.

“I loved being in the choir. I was like the loudest child, it was the kids’ choir actually and everybody was little.

“It was the first time I discovered that I can I sing. It really helped me shape my voice and music,” Ayra Starr dished.
