A medical doctor, Tolu Binutu, has revealed that his salary for six months when he arrived in the UK was more than the total of his 7 years salary n Nigeria.
He disclosed this on Friday while encouraging a Nigerian lawyer, who expressed sadness for being unable to afford rent to secure her own place.
“After Medical school, i moved back in with my parents. Lived with them for 7 more years until I was almost 30 years. Didn’t buy a Car. Worked several jobs, sometimes 2 jobs at the same time. Saved enough to write exams & move to the UK. 6 months salary in the UK was more than all my 7 years salary in Nigeria COMBINED. It’s not too late for you. Not by a mile,” he wrote.
