Mohammed Presides Over First Etsako LG Security Meeting

BENIN – Etsako Central Local Government Acting Chairman, Honourable Cephas Yakubu Muhammed, has presided over his first Council security meeting of the local government as part of his administration’s resolve to prioritize security for the safety of the residents in the local government area.

The meeting which was attended by heads of security operatives in the local government, chiefs and other notable persons was held at the secretariat main hall where important issues affecting the people and how to achieve lasting solution to the unforeseen insecurity and peace among the people of the local government were discussed.

Speaking at the end of the meeting, Hon Mohammed said the meeting was a proactive measure and appreciated the synergy between the operatives and their effort of always putting their lives on line to ensure that there is peace within the local government area.

He reiterated his commitment in ensuring the safety of lives and properties of residents irrespective of tribes or communities while charging the people to always report any suspicious movement of people or crime to the security operatives to avoid any breakdown of law and order.
