Inter Miami captain Lionel Messi has described Major League Soccer, MLS, as a fast and physical league.
According to the Argentina forward, MLS is growing a lot, and the league is evolving and developing.
Messi moved to the American league as a free agent after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expired a few seasons ago.
“MLS is growing a lot as a league, in line with United States culture,” Messi told @AppleMusic.
“The league is evolving and developing rapidly. I hope it will continue to grow, with more clubs following Inter Miami’s example.”
The 37-year-old added: “I’d describe it as a fast and physical league. There are now many young, talented players. All teams are trying to attack, they all want to score goals, so the games are open.”
Messi has been impressive in MLS since joining Inter Miami as a free agent.
