Kelechi Iheanacho has missed Celtic’s last three games due to an injury….
Celtic coach Martin O’Neill has confirmed that Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho will be unavailable for their Europa League fixture against FC Midtjylland on Thursday, Soccernet.ng reports.
Iheanacho has been sidelined with what is believed to be a muscle injury since October 23 after he was forced off Celtic’s 2-1 win over Sturm Graz in the Europa League. Since then, he has missed games against Hearts, Falkirk, and Rangers.
The Hoops travel to Denmark to take on Midtjylland at the MCH Arena on Thursday, and there was some hope that Iheanacho would be fit enough to make the bench at least.

He even posted the matchday graphics for the game on social media on Wednesday.

However, ahead of the fixture, coach O’Neill has revealed that the Super Eagles star is not fit enough to play.
When asked about the former Leicester striker during the pre-match press conference, O’Neill simply said, “not fit enough.”
Iheanacho has not played for Celtic since O’Neill replaced Brendan Rodgers as manager at the club. And it is unknown whether he will get regular minutes once he is fully fit.

Big Blow For Kelechi Iheanacho, No Super Eagles Call-up
Kelechi Iheanacho joined Celtic at the start of the season, after terminating his contract at Spanish Laliga club Sevilla.
He had a great start to life, registering two goals and one assist in his first three appearances for the club. And it was expected that he might get a national call-up if he continued his fine run.

However, injuries have slowed him down, and there is surely no way that he will make the Super Eagles’ squad for the upcoming World Cup playoffs this month.
Nonetheless, he will look bounce back from his injury as soon as possible and start delivering for Celtic.
