Mbata Celebrates 82nd Years Birthday Anniversary In Grand Style

The main hall of Christ Embassy Church, off Onitsha road, Owerri, capital of Imo state, recently hosted huge members the public recently to mark the birthday ceremony of Dr Benaiah Mbata.

The director of totalcare ministries, dr mbata who clocked 82 years in good health. The ceremony which attracted different hues of important dignitaries and groups; representatives of the Nigerian Medical, Association (NMA), his Secondary Old Boys Association of Saint Augustin’s Grammar School, Nkwerre, top government functionaries, and bigwigs of the Pentecostal fellowship of Nigeria, PFN and various members.

Mbata who was born to the Nzelu Mbata family of Umuduruaro, Dim na Nume Nwangele local Government Area of Imo State in October 5, 1943.

He attended St Augustin’s Grammar school, Nkwerre, Government College Umuahia, University of Nigeria Nsukka where he studied medicine.

He later traveled to Ireland where he obtained a certificate in Child Healthcare before proceeding to Manchester, England where he practiced.

He returned to Nigeria where he practiced as a Pediatrician in the Imo State Ministry of Health, 1991.

With the burning desire to serve humanity better, he took a voluntary retirement to set up his baby project, Totalcare Ministries in 1986.

According to him,” the motto of Totalcare Ministries is ‘carting the whole man-Spirit, Soul and Body’ we care for the Spirit through evangelism, the Soul through education and the Body through healthcare.

We carry out evangelism, run school and a hospital, carry out medical outreaches to so many communities in Imo, Abia and Nigeria at large. We also run radio programs and health columns in newspapers”.

The highlight of the occasion was the presentation of his 500 page book, NUGGETS OF HEALTH (complete volume) Chaired by Hon, Chika Okafor, reviewed by Dr Apostle Christian Benjamin.

According to one of the chief speakers, Pastor Ikenna Agugua of the Spring of Life Ministry ‘Dr Mbata is very cheerful, humble, easily accessible and very helpful to the PFN in the state. We thank God for the life of our father. Attaining his new age of 82 in Nigeria now is not easy, and most importantly in good health too.

His Totalcare ministry has been used to effect lives within and outside the Christendom.

I have known him for over 30 years as the State Advisory Council member of PFN, those who oversee what happens in the organization. He is of a great influence and assistance to many bodies- retreats, free Medicare, crusades and church programs.

As the zonal secretary PFN, South East and also on behalf of other senior members our body to thank you for your great services to the body of Christ and humanity..
