French superstar, Kylian Mbappé, has hailed Cristiano Ronaldo as the greatest player of all time, describing the Portuguese icon as the ultimate example for any footballer to follow.
In a teaser released by Movistar on Sunday ahead of an exclusive interview, Mbappé spoke passionately about his admiration for Ronaldo and the influence he has had on his career.
“Ronaldo has always been my role model and example. I am very lucky to be able to communicate with him. He gives me advice and helps me,” Mbappé said. “I think at Real Madrid, Ronaldo is undoubtedly the greatest player ever, a benchmark player for Real Madrid. He has created countless glories, and people still yearn for Ronaldo’s achievements today.”
Mbappé, who joined Real Madrid a season ago after years of speculation, said that while Ronaldo’s legacy at the club is unmatched, he hopes to write his own story in the famous white shirt.
“But I want to blaze my own path,” he added. “I hope that in the future, people will also look forward to my performances. This may lead to a historic moment for me and Real Madrid.”
Since arriving in Madrid in the summer of 2024, the 26-year-old French striker has already started to make his mark, scoring crucial goals and winning over fans. Mbappé has scored 58 goals and provided 7 assists in 69 games in all competitions for Real Madrid so far.
