Since her appointment as Group Managing Director of Abuja Investments Company Limited (AICL) in April 2024, Amb. Maureen Tamuno, PhD, has proven herself a transformative leader, revitalizing the institution and driving investment to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). With the support of FCT Minister Barr. Nyesom Wike, she has injected new vision and entrepreneurial spirit into AICL, positioning Abuja to become not just Nigeria’s administrative capital but a thriving business and investment hub for Africa.
As she marks her first year in office, she is set to commission various AICL projects across the FCT. Looking ahead, she will lead an Investors Forum in the UK on June 19, 2025, and the second Abuja Business & Investment Expo (ABISummit2025) in October 2025, both aimed at showcasing investment opportunities in Abuja and connecting investors globally.
Under her leadership, AICL is aligned with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda to drive economic growth in the FCT. Additionally, Tamuno has fostered an environment of open dialogue, encouraged constructive feedback and created a stronger, more collaborative institution at AICL.
