Manchester United target, Fred informs Shakhtar Donestk of exit plans
Manchester United target and Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder, Fred, has said he would like to join a bigger club.
United have identified Fred as a possible summer signing and the Brazil star has said he would quit the Ukrainian club after five years.
Manchester City were interested before cooling their interest and Fred, who is also wanted by Paris Saint-Germain, said he prefers to move to England or France.
“I’m very happy at Shakhtar. I’ve been working well here, but it has been five years.
“I made it clear to the club that I was very happy here, but I want to make a bigger leap in my career. There are other clubs interested in England and France. I want to make a bigger leap, I made it clear to the club,” Fred told SporTV.
Fred, who is under contract at Shakhtar until 2021, says he will decide his future after the World Cup.
“Now I just have to wait to get through with the World Cup and see which is the best destination,” he added.
