Manchester United is preparing to offer Napoli Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund in exchange for striker Victor Osimhen.
According to TBR Football, Napoli is eager to complete the sale of Nigerian international Osimhen this summer and is open to player exchanges as part of the deal.
Three major Premier League clubs are interested in signing Osimhen, who had a failed transfer to Chelsea last summer before ultimately joining Galatasaray on deadline day.
Osimhen has had an impressive loan spell in Turkey, scoring 17 goals in 20 starts and solidifying his reputation as one of Europe’s top strikers. He signed a new contract with Napoli in December 2023, which includes a release clause of around £100 million. However, this clause will drop to approximately £65 million come summer.
While Galatasaray does not have the option to sign Osimhen, the team is keen to retain him. Nevertheless, a move to England seems the most likely outcome at this point. Despite the decrease in his price, Osimhen’s form remains strong, and interest in the 26-year-old striker is high.
Chelsea has been a long-time admirer of Osimhen, as evidenced by attempts to sign him last summer. The Blues are looking to add at least one new striker to their squad in the upcoming transfer window.
Napoli has expressed interest in several players from Manchester United, particularly Garnacho and Hojlund. Although Napoli tried to acquire Garnacho in January, they were unable to reach an agreement with United over the transfer fee.
